Job description

Sodbusters is involved in landscaping and groundskeeping work on commercial and residential landscaping projects. Which include, but are not limited to, landscaping or maintaining grounds of property using hands or power tools such as mowers, seed spreaders, trimmers, blowers, aerators, buckets, and lawn bags. The workers typically perform various tasks, including sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, and installing mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Workers may also gather and remove litter and use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedges, bush trimmers, or axes. Workers may also operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snowblowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws. The workers may also water lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, and watering cans and prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chainsaws.

Special Requirements

Workers must have at least three months of experience in basic landscaping techniques, running lawnmowers and maintaining grounds. Workers must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry at least 50 lbs. Work on Saturdays may be required. The employer will provide on-the-job training to use equipment and safety techniques properly. The employer will provide daily transportation to and from the job site by providing the workers with a vehicle or transportation. Workers will be able to use the vehicle for personal use, and the employer will maintain the maintenance, fuel, and insurance.
