Job description

Workers will assist with water production and distribution for farm usage, including supporting the drilling of irrigation/ livestock wells, maintenance and repair of irrigation/ livestock wells, installation and repairing of on
farm water pipelines, and construction and maintenance of center pivot irrigation systems.
During the drilling aspect of this job, workers will: travel to farmer's drill site, unload equipment, set up the drilling equipment, haul water in a 4000 gallon tank to well site, connect drill pipe while drilling is in progress,
remove drill pipe, install well casing and disassemble drilling equipment.
When working on irrigation wells and livestock wells, maintenance and repair portion of job, the employees will: inspect pump heads and change their oil, check for pump vibration and cavitation, remove pipe and
pumps from wells, transport and install irrigation pipes, pump motors, and whatever else is mechanically required so that the farmer can get water to his/her crops.
When working on the installation or maintenance of on farm water pipelines employees will use excavation equipment and manual labor to place new pipeline and appurtenances. In the event that existing pipelines
have failures similar equipment will be used to make repairs.
When working on center pivot installation portion of the job, the employees will: unload and run forklifts, build concrete forms, pour concrete, transport and install irrigation pipes and pump motors, gather pivot materials
already on jobsite, bolt together pivots with air or cordless impact wrenches, and whatever else is mechanically required so that the farmer can get water effectively to his/her crops.
When working on the center pivot maintenance and repair portion of the job: the employees will inspect spray nozzles, irrigation pipes, wheels, and mechanicals to check for rust, clogs, or any other issue that would
prevent effective water delivery for the farmers' crops.
Clear brush and weeds by mower, weed eater, or sling-blade to access all pumps and wells, as well as company owned property. Maintenance and repair of all company owned mechanical equipment. All tools,
equipment and supplies will be provided by the employer at no cost.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up
to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive
movements is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Drug screen is required due to the liability of driving heavy equipment and
trucks on public roads. Criminal background check is required due to expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass drug screen
and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may
reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
