Farmworkers & Laborers - Crop

Job description

All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in this job description and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in box 3 & 4, page 1. Workers will perform a combination of tasks involved in the planting, cultivating and harvesting of diversified ground crops. Workers will work in greenhouse planting and transplanting seedlings. Workers will operate farm machinery and work in a storage building washing, culling, and preparing produce for storage or distribution. Workers will plant and transplant crops in the field. Workers will perform field work of hand weeding, thinning and hoeing, as well as other duties related to the planting, maintaining and harvesting of the crops. Workers are required to stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time. Workers must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers must have a valid driver's license. Workers will harvest the crops according to the quality and method of the employer. Workers will work in varied weather conditions. Workers must be able to work 6 or more days a week. Workers must be timely and able to be in accordance with the employers preferred start and end times.. Workers must be able to take directions in simple English.
