Job description

Plant, weed, hand-pick all fruits/ vegetables/flowers. Wash, sort, pack, place in containers, load and transport to proper building/area. Clean and maintain work areas, materials and
vehicles. Operate tractors/machinery/vehicles to cultivate, weed, deliver, etc. all produce or materials needed. Duties can include tilling, applying fertilizers/plant production materials, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning and disposal of trimmings, trellising, irrigating and general maintenance/care of trees/plants. Building and repairing fences and play areas. General feeding/maintenance of farm animals. General maintenance of buildings, grounds, facilities as needed. Unload delivery trucks as needed. Work with small engine equipment. Set up and operate spreaders, mowers, tractors, forklifts, discs, tractor drawn equipment, etc. Workers may be asked to handle food products outside of crops grown. Food safety standards must be followed in all areas of employment. Job may require 7 days a week, under all types of weather, hot, cold, rain or snow. May supervise 1-3 workers. Other miscellaneous duties as needed. Crops: strawberries, raspberries, apples, pumpkins, squash, gourds, flowers, misc. garden crops.

Special Requirements

Lift a minimum of 50 lbs., stand for 8 hours, stoop and bend, perform tasks with repetitive movements. Able to handle any new or existing projects. Nonsmoking/tobacco/drug free environment. Clean MVR, may be required to obtain driver's license. The drug test will be conducted post-hire at the employers expense. Positive results may result in termination due to safety concerns operating heavy equipment.
