Job description
Field crew tasks will include transplanting, hand weeding, hoeing, laying down crop protections such as
agricultural fabrics and row covers, moving irrigation line, operating small machinery such as mowers and weed
eaters, light greenhouse work such as watering, planting, weeding, pruning.
Harvest tasks will include hand harvest of bunched greens such as kale, chard, cilantro, pac choi, carrots, beets,
etc. Head lettuce, picking peas, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbages, root crops and winter squash will also be
harvested. Most of these corps will be field packed so there will be some packing trailer work which includes
receiving harvested produce on a conveyor and packing into boxes, building boxes on a trailer, stacking and
unstacking boxes of produce. There will be some indoor packing shed work such as icing, spraying and stacking
boxes as well as working on a wash line washing and packing root crops.

Special Requirements
2)Worker must possess 3 months of row crop experience.
4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs.4g) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100degrees Fahrenheit.4h) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheelbarrows, fruit containers, etc.4i) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time while sorting, picking, examining, weeding, transporting, pruning, etc.4j)Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor such as weeding, irrigating, pruning, picking, removing debris, etc. 4k) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties, for example picking, sorting, pruning, shoveling, weeding, etc.
