Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Maintain irrigation equipment. General lubrication, service (checking fluids) and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Must perform day to day seasonal crop farm duties.

Equipment: Windrower, Baler, Rake, Tractors, Payloaders, JD Sprayer, Claas Chopper, JD Chopper, JD combine, Semi Truck, Skid Steer, Chemical pit stop trailer, live bottom trailers, pickups, Four-wheeler, side by side, post pounder, post hole digger, Planter, strip till machine, disks, land finisher

Crops: Alfalfa, Corn, Dry Beans, Silage, Sorghum, Winter Wheat

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children and expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
