Job description
CDL Drivers - Tractor/Trailers: Drive trucks loaded with agricultural products between grower facilities and delivery to market. Workers will only deliver products to areas from which the workers can reasonably return to the worker's residence by the end of the work day. No overnight driving/overnight commuting required. Workers will load and unload trucks, deliver, pick up and disassemble product racks, transport company equipment, and sweep and clean trailers at end of workday. Workers may be required to maintain products in transit by watering to keep from drying out. Workers must operate trucks in a careful and cautious manner. Workers caught violating safety measures will be subject to termination.Team truck drivers will drive the truck in conjunction with another truck driver as a team of two. One driver will rest while the other driver drives. The shifts will be evenly divided between the two drivers based on the roundtrip distance in order to adhere to the DOT regulations regarding required rest times. A round trip would not exceed 12 hours and will end with the worker returning to the housing address listed in Section D. The scope of the driver’s delivery areas are as follows (one of two different drop-off sites in Jasper, TN):

When not driving, workers may perform duties related to other agricultural tasks, including:Crops: Watermelons, Cantaloupes, Sweet Corn, Pumpkins, Gourds and Hemp.Sanitation Requirements: For food and general personal safety purposes, all workers will be required and expected to follow common sanitary practices at all times. This is particularly critical when hand harvesting crops for human consumption. Employees are required to cleanse their hands by washing them thoroughly with soap and water after using the bathroom and before entering the fields for harvest activities or the packing facility for packing operations.
Tractor Operation During Field Operations: During field operations workers may be required to drive a tractor pulling a wagon through the field or between fields incidental to the job being performed. Workers may also operate various farm licensed vehicles, and farm equipment (including sprayers, forklifts etc.). Workers will be instructed in the safety and operation of the tractor before driving the tractor. Works will also perform maintenance of farm equipment. Tractors should be driven in a manner to protect operator, other workers, products, trees, crops, and equipment.Repeated failure to obey safety requirements and operating instructions may result in termination. Workers may be required to transport workers. During certain duties, workers may be required to work in teams to accomplish a certain task. When engage in teamwork activities workers must coordinate with other members of the team to accomplish the task. Employer retains the right to discharge an obviously unqualified worker, malinger, or recalcitrant worker who is physically able but does not demonstrate the willingness to perform the work necessary for the employer to grow a premium quality product
Workers may be required to wash truck, truck beds, and other equipment on the farm.
Special Requirements
All applicants must possess a valid CDL-A licenses and medical card. Workers must have clean driving record and pass employer paid pre-employment drug test. Failing or refusing to take a drug test will prevent applicants from being hired. Applicants must be able to furnish affirmative job references from recent employers operating comparable operations establishing acceptable previous experience. Must be physically able to meet and perform all job specifications stated in job order. Must be able to work in the hot humid weather for extended periods of time. Workers are subject to random drug testing at no cost to the employee. Failing or refusing a drug test will result in immediate termination.
