Farm Construction Laborer

Job description

On farms, the Farm Construction Laborer(s) will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the construction of livestock structures, livestock confinements, agricultural buildings, and grain bins. Duties will include loading, unloading and transporting supplies, tools and equipment; using basic hand tools; prepping concrete and finishing; cleaning and preparing construction site where concrete will be poured; positioning and dismantling forms for pouring concrete; spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete using rakes, shovels, or hand tools; building and erecting walls and trusses; and cleaning up construction site.

Workers will be required to work on their feet, bend, stoop, lift, and carry items weighting up to 50 lbs.

Special Requirements

The Laborer needs to be able to carry and lift a minimum of 50lbs. Additionally, the worker must be in good health to perform labor activities, no limitation to bend down or carry weight (under regulated laws or norms of weight and safety procedures). Follow instructions correctly as well as company rules.
