Farm Laborer/ Worker

Job description

Installation and repair of equipment for grain drying, moving, and storage, including, but not limited to welding, steel construction, minor electrical, equipment operation, and assembly.

1. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs for 75 yards.
2. Some of this work will be done at heights up to 120 ft (36.5 meters) with appropriate safety gear.
3. Must speak English.
4. Welding, construction, and equipment operating experience preferred.
5. Willing to be trained.
6. Must be able to climb, and not be afraid of heights.
7. Driver’s license required.
8. Employees will be screened for drugs and alcohol.

Special Requirements

Post-employment drug tests are paid for by employer when applicable.

In order to ensure safety on the job, the employer may conduct post-employment drug testing following any accident, reasonable suspicion, or random testing if needed. Further, please note that Construction is a safety-sensitive job, and site equipment is usually expensive, and construction sites also have personal property and valuable proprietary information. The Employer seeks to employ individuals without a criminal record who will not steal materials, tools, and other construction equipment. Conducting pre-hire background checks can alert the Employer if the possible candidate has a criminal conviction for theft or another related crime. Additionally, the Employer wishes to clarify that the employer will only conduct post-hire drug tests, as deemed necessary by the employer expense and as legally permissible.
