Job description
We farm 10,000 acres of cotton, corn, hay, milo, soybeans and wheat. All harvesting is done on our farms. Employees will operate forage swathers and balers (large, round and square bales and small square bales); operate combines and grain buggies with GPS in the harvest of corn, milo, soybeans, wheat and other seed crops as planted; and operate CS 770 cotton balers in the harvest of cotton. Employees must be able to use GPS tracking, and have computer skills to log in, record and maintain field specific information, as well as operate the automated machinery. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing/harvesting these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Maintenance on all machines twice daily is required. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
Please note for 2024 we will be adjusting our starting date to May 1 to cover our full season.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire, random drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license within 30 days of hire. Require 3 months experience.
