Job description
Operates self propelled custom class harvesting machine to harvest a variety of grain and oil seed crops. Adjusts speed of cutter, blowers, and conveyors, and the height of cutting head using hand tools. Changes cutting head as appropriate for crop. Services machinery and makes in field repairs. Drives pickup to pull campers, header trailers, and support equipment between worksites. Hauls grain to elevator or on farm storage area and harvesting machinery between worksites.
Special Requirements
A minimum of 3 months experience required. Must have a valid drivers license. Must produce and furnish to employer a current MVR showing an acceptable driving record. Employment reference. Basic literacy and math also required. Extensive sitting and exposure to extreme temperatures.
