Job description

SHEEPHERDING/LAMBING: The employer is seeking a motivated employee to care and protect the sheep on an "on-call" 24/7 basis. Worker will be required to support their sheep operation with tasks including but not limited to: constructing and deconstructing paddocks using wire net fencing; moving sheep between paddocks, along with their water troughs, salt, batteries, and energizers; maintaining fence to contain the herd, energizer systems, water troughs, and corrals; support during lambing season; support docking, castrating, vaccinating, ear tagging, sorting, and loading sheep; maintaining of healthy pasture by removal of plants dangerous to herd; guarding flock from predatory animals; operating a 4-wheeler, side-by-side or pickup truck on ranch property only; perform other farm or ranch chores related to the production and husbandry of sheep on an incidental basis. Duties that may be performed off the range less than 50% of the time include: attending to sheep and lambs in barns during lambing season. Employee must be willing to perform tasks capably and efficiently without close supervision, and live and work singly or in small groups of workers for extended periods of time. General supervision will be provided by the ranch owner. Worker must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
