Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Drive automobiles to different field locations and to town for supplies. Will occasionally need to tow trailers behind said automobiles. Perform a variety of manual labor associated with the normal duties of commercial row crop production. Operate Atv’s. Assist with irrigating fields using poly tubing and row irrigation. Perform scheduled or routine maintenance on equipment not requiring a certified or professionally trained mechanic. Operate grain handling equipment at grain bins.

Crops: Soy Beans

Equipment: 100 to 350 HP MFWD tractors, tandem axle truck tractors, pulling tandem axle hopper bottom trailers

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
