Job description

Viticultural analysis of our vineyard and the grapes being grown. Viticulturist needs to study all grape vines being grown on the vineyard to determine which vines are being watered properly and which are not. Which ones are receiving proper nutrition and which are not, amount of sunlight etc. This type of analysis of our grape vines allows the viticulturist to then make recommendations as to what changes need to be made to our vines in order to produce more grapes and better quality grapes. Viticulturist needs to will examine the harvesting of all grape vines and study the growth process and ripeness to determine what changes in growing and harvesting need to be made in order to produce more grapes and better quality grapes. This is done through daily observation of all grape vines on our vineyard and through testing of certain vines when viticulturist deems it needed.
Design and implement pest and disease control programs
Use plant, climate and soil moisture monitoring equipment for scheduling irrigation.
