Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: Operate, maintain, and complete basic repairs on farm equipment such as tractors, combine, grain cart, self-propelled sprayer, planters, haying equipment and tillage implements. Must be technologically inclined. Job duties require usage of John Deere gps guidance systems. Must have experience with ag chemicals and fertilizer. Maintenance of diesel, electric, and natural gas powered center pivot irrigation systems. Transport fuel to irrigation systems. Grain handling at storage bin site. General farmstead maintenance and clean-up.

Crops: Alfalfa, Corn, Milo, Rye, Sorghum, Soy Beans, Winter Wheat

Equipment: John Deere 8320R Tractor, John Deere 8345R Tractor, John Deere 8370R Tractor, John Deere 9460R  Tractor, John Deere 9560RT Tractor, John Deere 8530 Tractor, John Deere 8420 Tractor, John Deere 644K Wheel Loader, Skid Steers, John Deere S780 & S680 Combines, John Deere 4940 Self propelled dry spreader, John Deere 4045 Self-propelled sprayer, John Deere 612R Sprayer Implements: Strip tillers, Chisel plows, Undercutter, Vertical till disk, Field cultivator, John Deere 1775NT 24 row planter, Crust buster 4745 box drill, John Deere 1890 No-Till air drill, Grain Carts, Electric, Gas, and Diesel powered irrigation systems (Reinke, Valley, Zimmatic)

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
