Livestock Farm Worker

Job description

Duties may include: Worker will assist in herding and sorting livestock, feeding and watering livestock, assist in calving duties which includes, but is not limited to, feeding/watering calves, weighing calves, and inspecting/treating calves for illness/injury. Duties will also include tending to the farm, and doing minor repairs to livestock fencing and animal houses as needed. Worker will also be responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of equipment used in caring/tending to the livestock and maintaining/cleaning animal housing areas and grounds & other related Livestock Farm Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment.
