Job description
This application encompasses harvest of apples, cherries, and Pears as well as thinning, pruning, training and other orchard labor. the worker will perform duties from the ground and/or utilizing a ladder as well as other tools used in agriculture to preform jobs. The worker must possess the ability to pick up and handle 10-12 ft. orchard ladder weighs up to 40lbs. all other duties assigned under this order are those of the farm worker, diversified crops, standard occupational classification (SOC): 45-2092 job under the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Special Requirements
1. must possess requisite physical strength and endurance to repeat the pruning, thinning training, harvest and other farming processes throughout the work day.
2. Must work at a sustained, vigorous pace and make bona-fide efforts to work efficiently and consistently that are reasonable under the climate and other working conditions.
3. Must be able to perform work at the assigned time during light rain, high humidity, and high heat temperatures. worker may be required to work in the orchard when trees are wet with dew/rain ad should have suitable clothing for variable weather conditions.
4. Must be able to perform all duties within this job order in a safe manner adhering to all orchard safety guidelines, practices and procedures.
5. Must wear all required and assigned personal protective equipment at all times also wearing proper clothing and footewear, footwear must be closed toe and durable.
