Farm Assistant

Job description

Plant, cultivate, care for, and harvest corn, black beans, peas, and wheat on about 10,000 acres consisting of irrigated and dryland acres. Shuttle fertilizer and seed to planters. Help check and maintain irrigated pivots, run tillage equipment. Operate grain cart and/or semi- trucks and perform maintenance on the equipment. Worker needs to have the ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL). Perform mowing/haying.

Crop or Agricultural Activity:
1. Plant, cultivate, and harvest corn.
2. Plant, cultivate, and harvest black beans.
3. Plant, cultivate, and harvest peas.
4. Plant, cultivate, and harvest wheat.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months of agricultural experience required. Lifting requirement of 50 pounds. A CDL license or the ability to obtain one is required. Post-employment drug tests are paid for by employer when applicable.
