Job description
Dump, clean, grade, sort, pack, stack cucumbers, squash, cabbage, and miniature pumpkins to customer standards and as directed by management. Will Include trimming, weighing, palletizing, and lifting 60 pounds up to a height of 5 feet. Long hours on feet. Care must be taken to prevent damage to product. Will fold, assemble, and move containers. Will clean product waste from packing areas and lines. WII hand harvest squash and cucumbers. Will cover commodity sheds with film and secure with weights. Weed, thin plants by hand or hoe as
directed by supervisor. No smoking allowed, and food safety policies must be followed while working. Will drive bus to transport workers to and from work location. Not all workers requested to drive. Those that are requested to
drive will be required to possess appropriate license. No one will be rejected for the position that does not possess a driver's license. Three months experience In commercial. conventional farming in the jobs listed is required.
Workers referred against this order must have a minimum of 3 months verifiable experience in performing the tasks posted in this job order. Random drug and alcohol testing may be done if required by a government
regulation, post-hire at employer's expense. Workers may not use cell phones for personal calls, emails or texts during working times. Phone use must be limited to break times and lunch break. Workers will be provided a designated day of rest each week. Day of rest may vary with notice to the employee. Workers may be requested but not required to work on their sabbath.
Special Requirements
exposure to extreme temp, lifting 60 lbs, repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive walking, frequent stooping. Work is scheduled 7 days a week. Worker will have a 24-hour rest period weekly, and no one will be required to work 7 days per week or be terminated for not working 7 days per week. Workers may be
requested but not required to work on their Sabbath.
