Job description

Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to till soil; work ground; prepare and maintain land; and plant, irrigate, cultivate, harvest, and
transport crops to elevator or storage area. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, combines, skid loader, pay loader, and farm trucks. Employees will clear trees and spread manure at the farm as needed. Duties also include performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, buildings, and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; regularly servicing equipment; loading seed into planters; changing combine cutting heads; working on irrigators; and picking rocks as needed. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements

Employees will be lifting seed, parts, tools, etc. and will be exposed to the summer and winter temperatures. Working on equipment, driving equipment, cleaning fields, and other duties require extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements.
