Job description
B'sCVF, Inc is a family farm in rural Kansas with diverse operations. We are a first generation 20-year farm, commonly known as Bauman's Cedar Valley Farms. We mainly raise poultry and beef, along with a small amount of turkey, duck, pork and lamb. Employees will care for and feed all animals during their respective growing seasons. May-December, poultry care will involve mixing feed in milling barn, bagging, and carrying up to 500 yards to brooding barns and distributed in feeders. Employees will move chickens and turkeys twice daily from field shelters to fresh grass, load feed bags into UTV, manually lift water and feed buckets, pull shelter to fresh grass, and catch the birds in a humane manner on their processing date. Employees will also assist with mowing grass, repairing fence, cleaning barns, sanitizing cages, painting and other general farm duties as assigned to keep the farm in operating order.
Special Requirements
Employees should come prepared for a wide range of temperatures and wear protective boots. Job requires extensive pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire, random drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license within 30 days of hire or an International drivers license. Require 1 month experience.
