Job description
Cattle and Livestock work, irrigation, hayfield mowing and baling. Workers will care for cattle and other livestock including feeding, breeding and weaning. Workers will mow and bale hayfields and move hay bales. Feed and water livestock, supervise birth and weaning of livestock, maintain clean livestock facilities. Pick up hay in field and move to storage facilities. Provide irrigation for pastures and crops, maintain fences and safe holding facilities.
Special Requirements
General knowledge of livestock and farming equipment. 3 months experience working with cattle, horses, livestock and ranch work is preferred. (example: Temple Grandin PHD in "Safe Handling of Large Animals")
Hay bales weigh between 50-75 lbs.
