Job description
Working with our operations team on precision agriculture programs to facilitate in field prescriptions for planting, spraying and harvesting. This job will entail operation of multiple types of tractors, small yard to large John Deere for mowing, tillage, planting of small grain crops such as wheat, corn, milo and milette. They will assist with moving equipment which will entail driving service trucks and other types of large and small trucks to move people and equipment to and from field locations. They will participate in harvest operations driving either combines, or tractors for grain carts. Equipment maintenance and facility maintenance such as oil changes, fueling and servicing equipment for operations. Mowing and yard cleanup to keep facilities in good working order.
Special Requirements
Farm Equipment operation knowledge is a must. They need to know how to drive tractors. Physical ability to climb in and out of equipment. English language competency a must. Computer and smart phone/tablet experience high level, Our farm equipment such as the tractors and combines requires the use of technology that resides on Ipads (these are provided by the employer) company communication is also conducted either on the iPad or cell phones. The employee will be provided with a company cell phone paid by the employer. 3 months of experience. Training will be made available to the employee for equipment operation. Valid drivers license is required in the State of Colorado and for the worker to get onsite to many of the jobs they would be driving a pickup truck on state highways and a valid license to get to the Tractors is needed
