Job description

Duties required: Harvesting, planting, counting, loading, unloading and packing strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, squash, zucchini, eggplant and peppers. Other duties may include grading and packing in the field or shed/packinghouse located on the farm, field walking and general farm labor such as pulling weeds and plastic, raking, laying irrigation pipes and plastic, digging ditches, cleaning around shed areas, field and camp sanitation, and maintenance. This will be done under extreme weather conditions such as heat and direct sunlight, cold weather, possible rain, wind and exposure to pollen. Physical conditions such as heavy bending, stooping and lifting will be involved on a regular basis. Background check and random drug testing will be post hire at employer's expense.

Special Requirements

Workers must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by supervisors and practice safety in all aspects of work. The employer is a drug-free workplace and has a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol in the workplace and in the employer-provided housing. Background check and random drug testing will be post-hire at employer's expense. Drug testing may be done post-accident and for cases with valid reasons for suspicion at the employer's expense.
