Job description
Farmworkers will care for livestock, crops, property and equipment by operating tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow, fertilize soil, and to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest hay, and for brush control. Workers will assist with animal husbandry during cattle breeding season, to include calving, vaccinating, feeding, moving and hauling cattle to pastures. Workers will perform general property maintenance including but not limited to; constructing, repairing and moving irrigation lines, constructing and repairing fences and roads, maintaining grounds (mowing, weed-eating, etc), buildings and equipment. Applicants are required to have 3 months of verifiable experience calving on a cattle ranch and operating 600 HP tractors or larger, must be able to lift 50 lbs or greater.
Special Requirements
Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.
