Job description

The worker must be in good physical / mental health and have the ability to operate company owned tractor trailer. Worker must drive trucks safely and efficiently over difficult and rough woods roads. Must be able to operate other trailers or semi trailers in connection with woods operations and must have sufficient knowledge of truck mechanics to make simple and minor adjustments and repairs to trucks. Position requires more skill and experience than regular truck drivers. Applicant must have six months, referenced, paid production experience as a log truck driver. Must have a Class A Driver’s license for tractor trailer truck driver. Driver’s license background check is required. Driver’s must have an acceptable driving record and be insurable by employer’s insurance company. Driver must have ability to transport logs and other wood products to both U.S. markets and Canadian markets. Driver must pass mandated drug and alcohol tests. Operator must comply with landowner environmental regulations.

Special Requirements

Must have a Class A Drivers license for tractor trailer truck driver. Drivers license background check is required. Drivers must have an acceptable driving record and be insurable by employers insurance company. Driver must have ability to transport logs and other wood products to both U.S. markets and Canadian markets. Driver must pass mandated drug and alcohol tests. Operator must comply with landowner environmental regulations. Drivers transporting logs and other wood products to Canadian markets must have a valid passport or passport card in order to reenter into the United States of America after delivering timber products to Canada. Individuals entering Canada at an international port of entry in Maine may be asked for proof of identity, such as a driver's license or photo ID. A passport or pass card is not required when entering into Canada at a port of entry. All pre-employment testing will be conducted at no cost to the worker.
