Job description
Temporary full-time positions available in Lakeland, LA with Alma Plantation, LLC for the Louisiana Sugar Harvest Season. Operate vacuum pans to make raw sugar. Test machinery before and during grinding by boiling samples through each stage of conversion. Overtime hours will vary. Shift work: will be required to work various 8 hour shifts (7AM to 3PM; 3PM-11PM; 11PM-7AM). Must be willing to work overtime. Must be willing to work 7 days per week. Optional on-site lodging offered at no charge to workers hired in this temporary seasonal position. No minimum education required. No on-the-job training provided. Six (6) months experience in job offered in sugar mill required.
Special Requirements
OVERTIME HOURS WILL VARY. SHIFT WORK: WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK VARIOUS 8 HOUR SHIFTS (7AM TO 3PM; 3PM-11PM; 11PM 7AM). MUST BE WILLING TO WORK OVERTIME. MUST BE WILLING TO WORK 7 DAYS PER WEEK. OPTIONAL ON-SITE LODGING OFFERED AT NO CHARGE TO WORKERS HIRED IN THIS TEMPORARY SEASONAL POSITION. NO MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED. NO ON-THE-JOB TRAINING PROVIDED. SIX (6) MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN JOB OFFERED IN SUGAR MILL REQUIRED.
