Job description

All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in the job order and must be
available for the entire period of employment.
This work order is for qualified people to perform the duties related to harvesting pumpkins and field work. Worker will be helping in the preparation and harvesting of pumpkins as well as picking and packing pumpkins to be shipped. Construct and repair equipment for pumpkins. Worker must be able and willing to work in varied weather conditions including hot, humid summer days during harvest as high as 90 degrees with damp mornings. Must be physically able to lift up to 80 lbs on a consistent basis throughout the work day. The employer will provide 1 day of training. Employer will furnish to workers without cost all tools and equipment required to perform duties assigned. Worker will be given 1 hour for lunch. Beginning and ending times will vary depending on the conditions in the orchard. While working in the field, cell phone usage is limited to emergency use only. Due to health & safety concerns relating to pesticide application & the operation of equipment on our farm, workers must understand basic instructions in English. Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of three months verifiable experience in performing the tasks described in this order.

Special Requirements

The employer will not guarantee to pay the workers a bonus but reserves the right, at the employers sole discretion, to offer a bonus or to pay an hourly wage rate in excess of the highest applicable rate stated above based on longevity of tenure or exceptional job performance.
