Job description
Disaster Recovery Paralegal to assist with our restart of operations after COVID-19-related shutting down. Responsible for client file recovery and client outreach, updating the firm’s systems, software data retrieval and file inventory, and management of protected information. Processing emergency visa cases due to the COVID-19 shutdown and assisting with our restart of operations. Coordinating internal litigation file. Performing legal research and reviews of documents for compliance with applicable immigration agency policies and practices, regulations, and laws. Corresponding with international agencies to obtain documents for foreign nationals and entities. Prepare appropriate forms and letters regarding delayed client matters before the USCIS and US DOS (processing delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic). Respond to and coordinate inquiries from European clientele due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. Managing a portfolio of applications regarding U.S. immigration for clients who are eligible for status extension and renewal but faced pandemic shutdown-related delays.
Special Requirements
Bachelor's degree in English, History, Political Science, Psychology, Criminal Justice, International Relations, Business Administration, or Accounting.
