Job description
Help facilitate the picking, packaging, pressing of apples. This work may include but is not limited to, climbing ladders and lifting heavy items throughout the day. May set up, maintain and operate farm equipment. Fruit should not be squeezed or handled roughly to prevent bruising. The majority of work will take place outdoors often in hot, cold, rainy and various weather conditions. Other duties may include preparing soil, planting, pruning, weeding, thinning, spraying general use pesticides or restricted use pesticides under direct supervision of a certified applicator, irrigating, mowing, harvesting, grading. May use hand tools, such as shovel, pruning pole, pruning saw, and other farm implements. Duties may require off ground heights up to 20ft using ladders. One months experience in required work listed.
Special Requirements
Exposure to extreme temp, lifting 50 lbs, repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive walking, frequent stooping.
