Job description

This job consists of Hop Harvest Duties :
Hop Trash Hauler & Spreading: Oversees the loading of hop bine and leaves into truck box and drives to field to deposit on ground.
Hop Top Cutter: Harvest Top Cutter: Operates motorized equipment that pushes a truck in the hop field as it cuts the top of the strings and hop bines from the trellis.

Hop Bottom Cutter: Cuts bottom of hop bines with motorized machine or machete.

Field Pick Up: Picks up hop bines from the field and manually loads into the hop truck.

All other duties assigned under this order will be those duties of Farm Workers, Diversified Crops, under the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment Statistics Standard Occupational Classification Code 45-2092

Oregon Pesticide Attestation:
The Employer attests that all workers will be properly trained in the Worker Protections Standard (WPS) by qualified WPS trainers who have completed an EPA-approved Train-the-Trainer course pursuant to the Oregon Department of Agriculture.

Special Requirements

2) Worker must possess 3 months of agricultural experience.

4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 50lbs.Limit weight lifted to no more than 50 pounds. When lifting heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load.
4f) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
4g) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools.
4h) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time.
4i) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor such as weeding and irrigation.
4j) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties.
