Job description

Will prune, plant, cultivate, irrigate, fertilize, harvest, and sort fruit crops while working outside in all types of weather. Apples are the primary crop. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs. and pick fruit with a 3 % or less bruise rate. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; cleaning, packing, and loading harvested products.
May assist with harvest of other fruits and vegetables, construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings, participate in irrigation activities and other farm related activities as needed, pending maturation and harvest of apple varieties.
Harvest is contingent on weather conditions to ensure selection of tree ripened fruit.

Special Requirements

When weather is hot, starting and quitting times may be shifted to earlier or later in the day. This may vary depending on crop and weather conditions.

Did you know that... there are 2 types of H-2 visas?

Agricultural workers get H-2A visas. H-2B workers are in non-agricultural jobs like construction.
