Job description

Perform the following duties for seasonal cattle and calving operation: Moving cattle home from summer pasture at the end August/beginning of September. Fall cattle work/AI cattle. Weaning. Feeding Cattle. Working and vaccinating cattle. Maintaining feed equipment. Welding maintenance. Inspect livestock for illness/injuries. Maintaining winter grazing fences. Hauling water to heifers/cows. Prepping ranch barns and grounds for freeze. Opening frozen water tanks and springs. Snow removal. Shipping calves to market. Prep barns and cattle for AI work. AI breeding. Pen Maintenance. Clean feed bunks. Calving. Cleaning barns. Branding cattle. Perform pregnancy tests. Care for pregnant cows/vaccinate pregnant cows. End of March, ship cattle to summer pasture. May need to drive to town to pickup cattle supplies.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
