Job description
Corn Harvest Worker - sort harvested corn from shaking machine and rotary belt and throw away bad corn. Work performed on land owned by grower/operator (Remington Seeds) and corn raised by same. Ensure 100% quality to best of ability. Care for and monitor machine speed. Must be able to identify male/ female corn plants. Must lift up to 60lbs at 45-60 bags/hour. Job requires multi-limb coordination, dexterous hands, arm-hand steadiness and focus is a must. Must maintain quality, clean equipment, clean grounds, clear trash, debris. Must exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 60lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean. Outdoor work exposed to weather. Hours may fluctuate due to weather and crop conditions. Extensive walking, stoop, bending, reaching, and standing. May walk in mud during the rainy season. Exposure to contaminants: pollen, corn/field dust, rashes, bugs, allergies. Must be dependable and able to fulfill obligations.
