Job description
Performs duties like: Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store pecans and peanuts. Pecan farming operation: Drive tractor with different attachments such as mowers and pull behind sprayers. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate crops. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Worker will be required to learn to operate a pecan shaker, pecan harvester, pecan sweeper. There will be some fixing drip irrigation on orchard trees. There will be manual removal of small sticks and limbs from orchard.

Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
