Landscape/snow Laborer

Job description

Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: prune, gather/remove litter/debris, haul debris, cut down small trees and saplings, spread straw/topsoil. Operate shredding and chipping equipment, and feed limbs and brush into the machines. Operate loaders, brush chippers, tractors, power saws, trucks, sprayers and other equipment and tools. Hoist tools and equipment to tree trimmers, and lower branches to the ground. Shovel snow from sidewalks Load debris and refuse onto trucks and haul it away for disposal. Snow shoveling or power sweeping of sidewalks, building entrances, parking areas. Sand/salt application. Load truck with needed products and equipment, including ice-melt products and snow removal equipment. Fall property maintenance such as rake/blow leaves; pull/chop weeds; prune, mulch. Maintain/clean tools, equipment & work sites. Work is supervised.

No experience/education.

These workers are laborers, they are not tree trimmers or arborists. The landscape code of 37-3011 should be assigned (see ONET description).

Special Requirements

Lift/ carry up to 50 pounds.
