Job description

Performs duties on an organic corn and soybean farm like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and incidental mechanical repair to farm machinery.

Crops: Corn, Soybeans

Equipment: Large 200+ HP tractors with GPS, grain cart, tillage tools, mower, bob cat, ATV, trucks, semi's.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Employer raises specialty organic grain crops. Attention to detail, willingness to learn new practices, and operate with a high level of care is crucial. Our farm is a family-owned business, we value our team like family. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
