Job description
Ag Equip. Operators(Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers) - 20 full-time temporary positions; approximately 4 months; job to begin 9/15/2023 through 1/15/2024; Duties: to operate agricultural trucks to haul sugarcane from farm to mill. $22.60 per hour; 40 hrs a week, OT may vary but not guaranteed; 3 months experience in job offered required; CDL is required. Job involves extensive sitting, repetitive movements, and working outside in inclement weather. Once hired, workers may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. All work tools, supplies, and equipment will be provided at no charge. Housing and transportation provided to workers who cannot reasonably return to their permanent residence at the end of the work day; transportation and subsistence expenses to the work site will be provided by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract, or earlier, if appropriate. Employer agrees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Alma Plantation, LLC will provide employment to any qualified, eligible U.S. workers who applies to the employer until 50 percent of the period of the work contract has elapsed which is November 15, 2023.
