Job description
Drive and operate harvesting machines or custom cutting machinery such as forage harvesters
to harvest a variety of forage and hay crops crops from client's farms. Adjust speeds of cutters,
blowers and conveyors, and the weight of cutting the head, using hand tools. Change the
cutting head as appropriate for the crop.
Drive farm tractors to transport produce to elevator or storage areas. Drive farm tractors to haul
harvesting equipment between work sites. Drive tractors to and from sites, help manage barns,
and perform basic maintenance and repair.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within
30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Wage rate may increase with
verifiable experience.
