Job description

Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time and can include any of the following: Maintaining, and cleaning all rolling stock Keeping extensive maintenance records on each and every piece of equipment and vehicle, noting mileage, hour meter, and date of work performed. Preparing trucks and trailers for hauling according to Federal and State regulations. Manage relationships with key operations vendors. Making sure parts are properly stocked. Weekly equipment inspections to identify potential problems and reduce downtime. Operate equipment such as but not limited to module trucks, wheel loaders, lifts, tractors, rail car movers, forklifts, etc. Loading and securing of cotton modules. Unload cotton modules and stage. Module yard and seed house watchmen to ensure the security and quality of products stored. Work in and around cottonseed storage facility at cotton gin. Loadout of cotton related products. Identify potential hazards within the worksites and recommend changes to protect employees. Demonstrate work habits that develop, build, and support the team concept within the organization. Perform general housekeeping to maintain the company’s image and general repairs at facility, as needed. Utilize good customer service skills at all times when servicing and greeting customers, and when working with co-workers and other departments within the company. Workers must be able to work with minimum supervision. May transport workers to/from housing, fields, grocery, etc.

Special Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years old or older. Three (3) months experience in operating and maintaining equipment is required. Must have basic computer knowledge and be willing to work more hours a week as needed including nights and weekends. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. Must be willing to: think outside the box, coach and mentor others, work as a member of a team, communicate views/perspectives in an open and respectful manner, and step up and take on expanded responsibility as needed to meet strategic objectives. Must have proactive communication with other team members as well as all vendors and customers in the communities. Workers may be required to work day and/or night shift. Work begins at assigned time depending on what shift, day, or night. The ability of an employee to safely operate machinery will be left to the discretion of management.
