Job description

Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust machinery; Operate or tend self-propelled equipment and implements (much of which are equipped with GPS) used in agricultural production such as tractor, tillage tool, combine, etc. for duties such as fertilizing, planting, weeding, harvesting, storing crops such as wheat; Drive truck to haul crops, supplies, tools to and from storage and market facilities; Adjust and ready farm machinery and equipment; Clean work areas; Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies; Herd livestock to pastures for grazing or to scales, trucks, or other enclosures; Monitor animals for illness, injury, or disease; Mark livestock to identify ownership and grade using brands, tags; Segregate animals according to weight, age, color, or physical condition; Move equipment or livestock from one location to another; Perform duties related to calving and weaning; Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, feed bunks, yards, water structures, and fences.
