Job description

Workers must be able to listen, understand, and follow the instructions of company supervisors and managers. Workers must be willing to perform all duties according to the employer's rules and regulations during the contract period.

Working conditions: Workers will be expected to work in conditions normally associated with uneven fields and the California climate. These conditions include: dust, extremes of temperature and humidity, wind and at times, exposure to high levels of pollen. Workers should wear clothing suited to these conditions, including closed-toe shoes, hats, gloves, protective sleeves, and jackets which will provide adequate protection and allow freedom of movement.

Field Work/Post Harvest:
Hoeing: hoe by using long handled hoe to weeds in fields as necessary.
Weeding: weed control in fields as necessary.
Chopping: chopping in fields as necessary.
Mowing: mowing in fields as necessary.
Transfer Hoses: move hose as necessary for irrigation purposes.
Drain Cutting: maintain drains as necessary for irrigation purposes.
Pump/Well Maintenance: maintain pumps & wells for water flow.
Drip Line Maintenance: maintain drip lines for irrigation purposes. Road Maintenance: maintain roads as necessary for farm use.
Ditch Maintenance: keep ditches clear of debris for water flow and run-off.
Tractor: operate & perform necessary tractor duties.
Forklift: operate & perform necessary forklift duties.
Backhoe: operate & perform necessary backhoe duties.
Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance: clean & maintain equipment as needed.

Special Requirements

This job requires a minimum of 1 month of agricultural experience working in diversified crops, handling manual and mechanical tasks, including agricultural field work. Verifiable work experience is required.
