Job description

Position will supervise the sweet potato harvest business function. Duties include:
• Monitor harvester maintenance;
• Support harvest teams with parts and repairs as needed;
• Assist in the planning of areas to be harvested according to the purpose and destination of production, fresh, process and LW storage;
• Monitor maintenance of bins, trailer, and tractors for harvest time;
• Assist in the process of identifying batches, varieties and generation of harvested potatoes;
• Assist in the coordination of the harvesting teams, restrooms, water, trailer loading and bins;
• Repair, maintain and operate harvest equipment as well as other farm and agriculture duties;
• Assist in the planning of post-harvest, soil preparation, finishing disc, hipper, fertilizer application, soil leveling and other necessary operations as soil sampling, collect poly pipes, etc.;
• Monitor the team responsible for sort potatoes in the grade line for the LW;
• Assist in the logistical process of trailers, certifying the weighing and correct identification before being stored;
• Monitor the unloading and storage of potatoes in the sheds and monitor the curing processes;
• Follow food safety guidelines; and
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
All tools will be provided at no cost.

Special Requirements

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience must include: operating and maintain fork lifts, bobcats, and small tractors; monitoring crop quality; projecting crop inventory
