Maintenance Porter

Job description

Ensure that all dirt, dust, litter and debris is removed from all areas of the facility using brooms, mops, brushes and other hand tools. Walk garage daily to note/correct any maintenance problems. Sweep and pick up around the entrances and exits to the garage and stairwells as well as clean surface area rails, etc. on all levels, the booth, the office and rest rooms. Empty all trash. Replace bulbs. Change filters. Stock supplies. Submit requests for repairs/maintenance. Keep an inventory of janitorial supplies. Applicant must be able to lift pull, push 50 lbs. with continuous bending/stooping, standing/walking majority of shift.

Employer will offer 40 hours per week. Shifts 7:30am-4pm, 3:00pm – 11:30, 11:00pm -7:30pm. Each shift has a 30-minute unpaid break. Hours and shifts may vary with occupancy.

Basic rate of pay: $14.25 per hour. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $21.38 per hour based on locality the work is performed and the base rate of pay offered per hour.

A single workweek will be used for computing wages. Pay received bi-weekly.
One meal per shift provided at no cost to employee.
Employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment and uniform required to perform job.

Must complete employment application. Applicants must be able to work a 7-day schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
