Job description
Perform duties necessary to maintain operations of a hunting and tourism ranch. Clean/stock guest cabins, lounges, and other common areas. Other duties may include assisting with food preparation and serving for guests staying on the ranch including: setting up/stocking food stations, prepare food for service, cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff following the direction of the chef, clean up work station and properly store leftover food. Load dishes, glasses, and tableware into dishwashing machines. Other duties necessary to maintain the operations of hunting and tourism on the ranch may include: feeding and cleaning up after a wide variety of both exotic and domestic species, assisting on guided hunts, and performing inspections of all equipment and notifying the appropriate manager of all maintenance/repair requirements.
Scout for wildlife; plan, organize, and conduct hunting trips for clients; plan hunting trip itinerary based on firsthand knowledge of the area; arrange transportation, supplies, and equipment for clients to use during trip; instruct clients on use of hunting gear; prepare meals for the hunting party.
Special Requirements
Must have at least three months experience working on a hunting & tourism ranch, w/ knowledge of cleaning/cooking, farm/ranch equipment, & feeding/cleaning up after exotic/domestic animal species. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Standard workweek is five days per week, Wednesday through Sunday. Monday and Tuesday work required, when necessary. Must possess or be able to obtain U.S. driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
