Job description
Help operators by performing duties requiring less skill. Duties include supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment. Tasks include but not entirely: Operate machinery used in the production or distribution process and assist machine operators. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists. Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete. Mark or tag identification on parts. Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, conveyances and trucks. Record information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production. Able to lift 50 lbs. multiple times during 12-hr shift. Bend and stand repeatedly. Able to push 80lbs on rollers/wheels. Work Environment: Warehouse is hot and humid in the summer months, cold during the winter months. High noise level requires use of hearing protection.
Minimum 35 hours per week up to possible 50 hours per week. Open 7 days/week. 12-hour shifts, 6:00am-6:00pm and 6:00pm-6:00am. Normal schedule includes 3 days on/2 days off/2 days on/3 days off and may be Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Work days and shift time may vary, breaks and lunch included within timeframe.
$15.38 per hour. Employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. In Texas, an overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $ 23.07 per hour based on locality the work is performed and the base rate of pay offered per hour. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Pay received bi-weekly.
Special Requirements
Must be able to work a 12-hr rotating shift, including weekends and holidays. Day and night shifts assigned based on need. Post-employment / post-injury or incident and reasonable suspicion drug test required, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, US and foreign/H2B. All employees will be required to follow the companys current policy regarding COVID testing that is in place at their time of hire. Applicants must complete an employment application. Must be able to physically work contract from October 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
