Job description
Perform the following seasonal duties: Feeding Cattle/Cleaning out Feed Bunks. Scraping Barns/Hauling Hard Pack Manure/Bedding. Calving/Calving Pen Preparation and Clean Out. Inspect livestock for Illness and Injuries. Heat Detection/Heat Pen Set Up. Opening Frozen Waters/Filling Waters. Working and Vaccinating Cattle. Maintaining Exterior Fences. Fence line Clean Up. Snow Removal/Salting Drives. Maintaining Feed Equipment. Welding Maintenance. Breeding/Breeding Pen Set Up. Receiving and Unloading of Feedlot Cattle. Feedlot Barn Maintenance and Set Up. Preg. Checking and Sorting Cows. Other general seasonal cattle related duties. May need to drive to town to pick up cattle supplies.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
