Job description
Places oysters on tables and removes meats from the shells. Washes, sorts and places oyster meats into containers for consumption. Cleans and sanitizes shucking stations as required by food-safety rules. Disposes of oyster shells in the designated areas. Work is supervised. 10 day(s) on the job training provided. See 9142 Addendum.
Special Requirements
Lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Employer paid drug test is Upon Suspicion (Post Employment). Piece rate is paid at $1.10 per pound or the guaranteed prevailing wage rate, whichever is higher. Worker is expected to shuck 8 pounds of oysters per hour after 10 days on the job training. No infectious diseases; seafood allergies may be fatal.
