Job description
Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. Following the supervisor's instructions, the worker will drive and control farm equipment and vehicles to plant, cultivate, maintain, harvest crops, and transport workers to and from our farm sites.
Agriculture equipment may include citrus fruit loaders, tractors, and automobiles. Workers must have experience in operating/driving aforementioned farm equipment and be able to do so in an efficient, timely, and safe manner. In order to perform this kind of work, worker must be able to work outside for at least 6 hours per day in all kinds of weather and be in possession of the requisite physical strength and endurance to mount and dismount equipment quickly and skillfully multiple times per day to retrieve a large number of fruit from the ground, from trailers, from equipment, and from the trees that pickers have missed. Worker will clean all equipment including but not limited to fruit tubs and any harvesting equipment from all leaves, limbs, and debris. Worker will then load ladders back into ladder truck.
