Production Worker

Job description

Duties may include: Operate machinery in the production process or assist machine operators. Load and unload lumber or raw material from machines and conveyors. Prepare raw materials for processing. Place lumber or raw material in equipment on work surfaces for processing inspecting or wrapping. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items. Transfer finished product, raw materials, tools or equipment between storage and work areas of the facility by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks. Separate lumber or raw material according to grad and/or size. Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify operators of any malfunctions. Assemble cardboard boxes to be using during the packaging of finished goods. Count the amounts of items to ensure product is packaged to specifications. Count finished products to determine if the orders are accurate and complete. Examine components or finished goods to verify conformance to quality standards. Tag finished goods. Pack and store raw materials and finished goods. Clean and lubricate equipment. Clean work areas, machines, equipment, or products & other related Production Worker activities as per SOC/OES 51-9198 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.
Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).

Special Requirements

Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified.
